LR (Last Request) Changes
-
Hi @music I'm sorry you don't like the change.
Last 2 people was always how I use to play it and I dare say people have come to like it. Last Request doesn't necessarily mean the last surviving prisoner, but rather meaning to give final freedom to Prisoners and allow them to choose the rules and do what they want to do, as a 'last request'.
I'm open to feedback though!Thanks

Hi @C ,
I think it's a person thing for me as that's how i've grown up playing JB, with LR being for the Last standing prisoner. I know a few of the guys coming over from the previously known OS/DS. Never seen it been done with last two remaining, might be something i grow on overtime but currently it just feels out of place.

mind if i join in with my take?

I enjoy have the last 2 being within LR and its a first for me. not needing to sweat too hard to be the last one alive and gives more value to players.
on the other hand i see having last 2 it also restricts alot that you can do as an LR as with having 1 person at the end you could implement more crazy stuff like last prisoner does a group activity with the rest of the CTs. make teams for a game. to a full 1 V 8 and so much more.
so i do see both aspects and for my personal wish i would like it that at the start of the round while the CTs are organizing themselves. the Ts get to vote for 1 LR or 2 LR for end of round.
Thank you & Regards,
ZONE-X

I think that a vote for 1 or 2 at the start of the round could be a good idea, alternatively could also be a vote that in my opinion should be taken as the last 2 are alive.
I think the concept is good in theory but doesn’t play out in my head the day way. But then again, it’s all just very new to me and could be something that grows on me with time.

it'll grow on you mate personally i was tentative at first but really enjoy it now

Hey (long post sorry)! As someone who's always played LR as top 1, top 2 has honestly grown on me. I think it is less punishing especially for all the new players. At the moment, there's a significant line in the community between old-heads playing, and new players discovering JB for the first time. If LR is top 1, it punishes the newer player so much more and can feel discouraging, as half the player base has hundreds if not thousands of hours on OS maps and therefore has a much higher chance of winning (skill gap obviously, but annoying nonetheless).
I think there are a couple annoyances with top 2 being LR in it's current state. The primary one being the option to rebel. Rebelling should be all or nothing, not one person gun tossing whilst the other 1v8s.
A solution to this could be simply a vote. If one of the last 2 alive select the option to rebel, its all or nothing, the other T has to agree. Could be simply 'Sun Tzu wants to do an AWP rebel, do you agree?' and if not, the other T has to play an actual LR game. Alternatively, if the other T loses their game or dies, rebelling now becomes an option for the solo T alive.
Not sure of peoples opinions on this, as the LR'ing process is already a longer one than we are all used to due to the way the LR menu works in this version, but it may provide less friction for CTs.To combat the time taken to choose a rebel, perhaps an independent rebel command can be used instead of !lr. A T could write (in team chat or using /) !rebel, and then pick their rebel option. This then provides a message that only T's can see stating 'old mate wants to rebel', with an !y or !n to agree or disagree. This may make it quicker, a quick yes/no and then if no, just go back to !lr normally and select your game.
Also, this may assist Zone-x's response in that there is more freedom if there is only 1 T left, yes this will always be true in essence, but a 2v8 backstab rebel is possible, or 2v8 awp rebel, or 2v8 gun toss etc. It just needs to be cooporative, not combative.
That being said, always happy with the 2 LRers (real word) doing their own separate games, just would appreciate if rebelling was both or none (or one if last alive).
'nyways, just my thoughts and opinions. Would love to hear other's. Much love.
P.S. getting picky about the phrasing of last request is useless when you realise that it's not the "last terrorist's" request, but the last request of the terrorist(s). One final request before they die. It doesn't matter how many people are alive, it's about their personal final request.

hello music, I disagree with you wholeheartedly, coming originally from Ban-hammer which I believe had 3 (?) LR players, 2 is a good balance. It allows for dual games to be run; the whole server isn't bogged down by one guy doing some shit garbage straight from a butt.
I also agree with uni's point about the rebel being in an odd spot, for example I freekilled the second T trying to kill the rebelling T and it's like oh well GG i guess, (It was Remy so he doesn't count). Rebel as it stands with 2 t's probably needs to be looked at or maybe made that only the last of the two can choose that option.
Besides your point here is essentially "I don't like it" I think two is good and can remove the staleness of watching one cunt play one game.
Maybe we should up it to 10, thoughts?

im fine with having the warden decide whether 1 or 2 should survive for LR. interested to hear people's thoughts on this

@howlz
I think two person is all-around better, there are improvements that can be pushed. (Rebel changes/fixes, duo lrs) but just folding back to letting lazy wardens kill every T is boring. The two-person system is good and rewarding for players to survive, wardens don't need more work to do especially on high pop. There are about 5 people actively wardening. We don't need more shit to do or be yelled at for
A lot of t's instantly pick Rock paper scissors or coinflip and die immediately anyway, it's really a non-issue. But that's just me!

in regards to what @simon & @uwunicorn have said,
my opinion on 2 person LR stance has shifted, being in a server with lots of people and having more opportunity to LR has been very enjoyable, the only thing i miss the most would be rebelling and choosing back stabs only and have a 10v1 with 1000 health.I agree with what @uwunicorn on having a vote to both chose a rebel or being able to complete an Lr together instead of individually having a 9v1 rebel and another duo doing a gun toss.

@uwunicorn I really like your idea and maybe branch onto it if thats okay?

to make it a faster and more seamless function within the flow of in game.... depending on the capability of the plugin we can do it 2 ways :
possible way 1:
- /lr or !lr still works but instead of a full list of options make it a voting tab first within the LR tab:
- SOLO LR
- TEAM LR
- REBEL
- make it live show what the other person voted for, if you (person that hasnt voted as of yet) it may show like this:
- SOLO LR
- TEAM LR
- REBEL (1/2 votes)
If 'SOLO LR' is picked then the other 2 options are invalid and puts both players into the 'SOLO LR' tab.
if both select the same one then that one is selected and a new tab list of options/weapons to pick if rebel.possible way 2:
- This is similar to 'way 1' although for functionality of plugin purposes it could be done by utilizing the /rtv way of map picking.... once 2 is left and comes up with the text in chat of LR, it also comes up with:
Select the type of LR:
!1 Solo LR
!2 Team LR
!3 Rebelmake same functions like i said within 'way 1':
"If 'SOLO LR' is picked then the other 2 options are invalid and puts both players into the 'SOLO LR' tab.
if both select the same one then that one is selected and a new tab list of options/weapons to pick if rebel."With new and alternative tabs comes with more freedom of new and exciting games that you may not be able to do with doing solo LRs. also gives the choice of using modifiers within the 'REBEL' aspect. (wouldnt add headshot only as it may drag game on too long)
please share your input of this if you would like to or share how you feel about this concept.
Kind Regards,
ZONE-X
