Community Rules

These rules apply to every member, guest and staff member. No exceptions.

Core rules that apply across every SlimeServers platform: our forums, Discord and all game servers.

  1. Treat everyone with respect

Disagreements are fine. Personal attacks, name calling and bad faith arguments are not. Assume good intent and engage with ideas rather than people.

  2. Zero tolerance for discrimination or hate speech

Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, religious intolerance or any other form of hate will result in an immediate ban. This includes slurs, dog whistles and "jokes" at a group's expense.

  3. No harassment, bullying or threats

Targeted harassment, pile ons, coordinated abuse, threats of violence (real or in game) and stalking are not tolerated anywhere on our platform.

  4. Keep content safe for work

No sexually explicit, gore, shock or otherwise graphic content. Avoid excessive profanity. If you wouldn't post it in a room full of strangers, don't post it here.

  5. No spam or unsolicited advertising

Don't flood channels, repeat posts, promote other servers or services without staff approval, or DM members with adverts. Promoting yourself is fine in the right context, just ask staff if you're unsure.

  6. No impersonation

Do not pretend to be staff, another member or anyone outside the community. This includes copying names, avatars or signatures to cause confusion.

  7. Protect everyone's privacy

Never share personal information (real names, addresses, phone numbers, IPs, photos) of anyone without their explicit consent. Doxxing results in a permanent ban.

  8. Use channels and categories as intended

Post in the right place. Off topic chat belongs in off topic, support questions belong in support. Misplaced posts may be moved or removed.

  9. Follow staff decisions

If a staff member asks you to stop or change something, do so. You are welcome to appeal through the proper channels, but arguing in public or ignoring staff will escalate the issue rather than resolve it.

Rules for our CS2 Jailbreak server. These apply in addition to the General Rules. Orders from guards and the warden are only valid where they fit within these rules.

General Rules

  1. Common sense applies at all times

Play by the spirit of the rules. Don't hunt for loopholes or nitpick wording to excuse behaviour you know isn't allowed.

  2. Respect other players

Abuse, harassment and discrimination of any kind, whether in voice or text, are not tolerated.

  3. Use a readable name

Your name must be easy to read, easy to pronounce and clearly distinguishable from other players.

  4. No ghosting

Don't reveal information about players who are alive while you are dead.

  5. No spam

Don't spam text chat or your microphone. Speak with your natural voice and don't use voice changers or soundboards.

  6. No advertising

Don't promote other servers, communities or websites.

  7. No exploits

Don't abuse map or server bugs, and don't try to lag or crash the server. Report anything broken to staff.

  8. Only play in accessible or viewable areas

Map exploiting is not allowed. Only play in areas that can be accessed or be seen from accessible areas to everyone. On special days where only knives are allowed, you may only play in areas that are not just viewable, but accessible by everyone too (e.g. players without Jetpack cannot reach certain areas and being in an area where they can't reach is unfair).

  9. Know the standard games

Common minigames don't need to be explained by the warden. Every player is expected to know how they work.

  10. Play special days properly

No teaming on free for all days. Don't camp the armoury or medic, don't use map unlockables that change speed or gravity, and actively hunt when you're meant to be hunting. Never stall the round.

  11. The first round is always a Freeday

The first round of every map is always a Freeday. Prisoners cannot be given orders on the first round — see the Freeday definition.

Definitions

  1. Warden

The guard in charge of the round. The warden's orders override orders from other guards.

  2. Freeday

A round where prisoners cannot be given orders. Guards may only require prisoners to stay outside knifing distance and treat guns as KOS.

  3. Rebelling

Disobeying a direct order from a guard or the warden, or damaging a guard who isn't baiting. A rebelling prisoner is KOS (kill on sight) unless forgiven by the warden.

  4. KOS (Kill On Sight)

A player guards may kill without warning.

  5. Freekill or freewound

Killing or damaging a prisoner who isn't rebelling, deliberately or by accident.

  6. Baiting

A guard moving dangerously close to prisoners, whether they mean to or not.

  7. Rush

Taking the quickest route to where you've been ordered, without detouring or delaying.

  8. Detouring or delaying

Taking anything other than the quickest, safest route to where you've been ordered.

  9. Hot cell

A cell containing a weapon, vent, teleporter or any other escape route.

  10. Gun check

Checking hot cells for armed prisoners and disarming them.

  11. Camping

Deliberately loitering around sensitive areas such as the gun room, medic, vents or teleporters.

  12. Unstack

Moving apart until you are no longer touching any other prisoner, without detouring.

  13. Ass on bars

When a prisoner puts their back against their cell door and faces the back of their cell.

  14. Surviving prisoners

The last two prisoners alive, who earn the right to a Last Request.

  15. Last Request (!lr)

A minigame the surviving prisoners may play against the guards by typing !lr.

  16. Favouritism

A guard treating prisoners unequally in punishments, rewards or opportunities.

Guard Rules

  1. Open cells by 13:30

Cells must be open, with orders given, by 13:30 on the round timer. Otherwise the round automatically becomes a freeday.

  2. Orders must be clear, concise and timely

Address individual prisoners by name or player model. Orders that last the whole round are not allowed, except for marking areas and setting up custom special days.

  3. Wardens must use a microphone

If you want to play as warden you must have a working microphone. You cannot warden using text chat alone.

  4. Give prisoners time to comply

Wait at least 2 seconds before punishing disobedience, honour reasonable requests to repeat an order, and wait at least 5 seconds for prisoners to leave their cells before killing anyone still inside.

  5. No freekilling or freewounding

Never kill or damage a prisoner who isn't rebelling.

  6. No baiting

Don't move within knifing distance of prisoners. A baiting guard may be killed by prisoners without it counting as rebelling.

  7. No camping

Stay away from vents, teleporters, the gun room and medic. If you enter the gun room, leave within 20 seconds.

  8. If the warden dies

Guards must not shoot without orders unless prisoners are rebelling.

  9. Firing a gun makes a prisoner killable

Any prisoner who fires a gun may be killed, regardless of what they were shooting at, unless it's part of a game the warden is running.

  10. Run gun checks fairly

Tell prisoners they're in a hot cell if it isn't obvious. A weapon thrown into another cell makes that cell the hot cell. You may order weapons dropped, holstered or emptied, but you cannot kill a prisoner for drawing a weapon simply to comply.

  11. No deadly or trick orders

Never order a prisoner to do something that will certainly harm or kill them unless they consent. If an order involves harming a guard, that guard must consent. Don't trick prisoners while transporting them, and remember transported prisoners may always freelook. Don't hide behind doors to lure prisoners into knifing distance either.

  12. No forced crouch walking, walking or button freezing

The warden cannot force prisoners to crouch walk, walk, or button freeze.

  13. No favouritism

Treat every prisoner equally, with the same punishments, rewards and opportunities.

  14. Don't give prisoners weapons

Guards must not plant or hand guns to prisoners, except where a game situation or LR requires it.

  15. Limited vent breaking

Guards may only break vents when chasing a prisoner through them, when the vent is already open, to escape, when taking damage from the map, or during LR.

  16. Run games fairly

Only the warden may use map game buttons or kill during games based on reactions, unless they hand that role to another guard. Games judged on opinion are decided by a guard vote, with the warden breaking ties. Every participant must have a fair chance of survival. Leave the last two prisoners who aren't rebelling alive until all rebels are dealt with.

  17. Don't kill more than 10 prisoners per map game

No more than 10 prisoners may be killed on purpose during a single map game. Unintentional kills beyond 10 caused by map game functions the warden cannot control are acceptable, but the warden must always make a genuine effort not to kill more than 10 prisoners per map game.

  18. Start special days properly

Special days may only be issued through the warden tools menu, and only before any prisoner has died or any cell has opened.

  19. Surviving prisoners cannot be ordered

Guards and wardens must not give orders of any kind to the surviving prisoners, not even to freeze. A guard who delays LR may be slain, and a prisoner who delays their LR may be killed.

  20. Don't force snitching

You cannot threaten or in any way force a Prisoner to snitch on another Rebelling Prisoner.

  21. Mercy kills

The warden may kill a prisoner who asks to be killed in voice or chat. Other guards need the warden's permission first.

Prisoner Rules

  1. Follow orders

Disobeying the warden or guards makes you a rebel, and rebels may be killed.

  2. You may always rebel

You can rebel at any time and for any reason, including before, during or after LR, but doing so makes you KOS.

  3. Escape routes are KOS

Using vents, teleporters or any other escape mechanism makes you KOS, unless the warden has told you to use them. Simply knifing a vent doesn't make you KOS unless the warden says otherwise.

  4. Entering the gun room makes you a rebel

Entering the gun room automatically makes you a Rebel.

  5. Baiting guards are fair game

Killing a baiting guard isn't rebelling, but you may not use the weapons they baited with.

  6. No fake orders

Don't imitate guards or invent orders to trick other prisoners.

  7. Don't drag the round out

If you choose to rebel, you must ACTIVELY rebel. Don't stall the round by hiding away or messing about with map games. Keep pushing your rebellion.

  8. You may surrender

Stop and ask the warden for forgiveness. The warden's genuine answer decides whether you're spared.

  9. Play LR fairly

LRs must be fair to both sides. Custom rules are allowed to be made by the Prisoner conducting their LR, however their rules must apply to both parties and cannot order a Guard to lose/kill themselves in any way. Prisoner's can break their own LR rules but are then automatically considered KOS with no chance of surrender.
